    TOP-10 Modifying Commands In AutoCAD

    TOP-10 Modifying Commands in AutoCAD

    1)Multi line Text

    Explodes into text objects.

    2)TCASE (Express Tool)

Changes the case of selected text, mtext, attributes, and dimension text.
You can use either the dialog box version or the Command line version of this Express Tool:

    3)TEXTFIT (Express Tool)

Expands or compresses the width of text objects based on new starting and ending points.
TEXTFIT operates on text objects only. To fit multiline text (mtext) objects, explode the mtext objects to convert them into text objects.

    4)TORIENT (Express Tool)

Rotates text, mtext, attribute definitions, and blocks with attributes for readability.
Rotates text, mtext, and attribute definition objects so that they end up being as close as possible to horizontal or right-read (similar to the behavior of dimension text). Objects are rotated about their middle point in 180-degree increments. For example, if the text is upside-down, it becomes right-side up after a TORIENT operation. Similarly, left-read text becomes right-read text. The overall object location is not changed. As an option, you can specify a new absolute orientation angle for all selected text objects.
    Options
New absolute rotation Enter a new absolute orientation angle for all selected text
Most Readable Orients selected text objects to the most readable right-side-up, right-read orientation

    5)TJUST (Express Tool)

Changes the justification point of a text object without moving the text. Works with text, mtext, and attribute definition objects.
TJUST is useful when you want to alter the position of the Insert object snap for text objects without moving the text.
Tip: To control the direction in which the text expands during a change operation for size or style, you can use TJUST before making the change, and then restore the justification back after the change.
Select objects: Use an object selection method
Start/Center/Middle/Right/TL/TC/TR/ML/MC/MR/BL/BC/BR <current>: Choose the new justification

    6)TCOUNT (Express Tool)

Adds sequential numbering to text and mtext objects as a prefix, suffix, or replacement text.
Numbering is added to individual text objects and to each line of multiline (mtext) objects.
Select objects: Use an object selection method
Sort selection set by X, Y, or Select-order <current>: Enter an option or press Enter
X Determines numeric order by increasing x-coordinate values of the selected text.
Y Determines numeric order by decreasing the y-coordinate value of the selected text.
Select-order Determines numeric order according to the order in which the text was selected.
Enter count [Start, increment] <current>: Enter the starting number and increment, separated by a comma, or press Enter

Start Specifies the first number in the sequence.
Increment Specifies the difference between the numbers in the sequence.

    7)TCIRCLE (Express Tool)

Creates a circle, a slot, or a rectangle around each selected text or mtext object.
The diameters of the circles, and the width and height of the slots and rectangles can be constant or variable. Variable sizes adjust to the size of each selected text or mtext object based on the distance offset factor. The Constant option encloses selected text and mtext objects with objects that are all the same size, the size of the largest enclosing object.
Select objects: Use an object selection method
Enter distance offset factor <0.3500>: Specify the scaling factor for determining the offset distance of the enclosing object
Create Circles, Slots or Rectangles <default>: Enter an option or press Enter
Circle Creates circles of constant or variable diameter.
Slot  Creates slots of constant or variable size. A slot is a rectangle with convex sides. For constant-size slots, you can specify the dimensions that are held constant: width, height, or both width and height.
Rectangle Creates rectangles of constant or variable size. For constant-size rectangles, you can specify the dimensions that are held constant: width, height, or both width and height.

    8)ARCTEXT (Express Tool)

    Places text along an arc.
With ARCTEXT, you can create an arcalignedtext object that follows the curve of a selected arc.
    Dialog Box Options
Pick boxes Sets controls for text location relative to the arc and its length. The Drag Wizard controls the behavior of the text when the arc is moved.
    Color Specifies the text color.
    Text Specifies the text.
Style Name Specifies the style name for a selected text font. Also specifies bold, italic, and underline settings.
Font Lists the TrueType fonts and AutoCAD compiled shape (SHX) fonts in the AutoCAD Fonts folder.

    9)TSCALE (Express Tool)

Scales text, mtext, attributes, and attribute definitions.
You can specify a final height or apply a scale factor to selected objects. Scaling is done from each object's justification point, or you can specify the justification. See also the PSTSCALE Express Tool.
Select objects: Use a selection method to select annotation objects
Specify justification to use as base point for scaling... [Existing/Start/Center/Middle/Right/TL/TC/TR/ML/MC/MR/BL/BC/BR] <Existing>: Specify a base point
Specify size change by [Scale (factor)/Height] <Scale>: Specify the value as a scale factor or the final height
Scale factor <1.2000>: Specify the factor by which to scale each object
Or Final height <0.2000>: Specify the height for the selected objects

    10)TXT2MTXT (Express Tool)

Converts one or more single-line text objects to a multiline text object.
TXT2MTXT will operate on single-line text objects created with the TEXT command. The selected text objects will be removed from the drawing and a new mtext object will be created. The text size, font, and color differences between text objects will be maintained if possible.
Select objects: Use an object selection method to select text or press Enter to display options

Tip: If the original set of text objects was created with successive TEXT commands, enabling the Sort Top-Down option and disabling the Create word-wrap MText options will produce the most visually similar results.
